Job Overview: The Finance Technical Officer position is a critical role within NRC's West Bank projects, primarily focused on ensuring compliance with NRC's policies, guidelines, and donor requirements. Duties and Responsibilities: The Finance Technical Officer will have a comprehensive set of duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to: Supporting Budget Holders in tracking financial expenditures for West Bank projects; providing financial technical support and capacity building to project staff; conducting financial technical analysis and offering feedback to NRC representatives in coordination forums; assessing and documenting ideas for technical improvement and program development; conducting quality control and providing technical support to implementing partners and contractors. Specific responsibilities include preparing salary postings after receiving project allocations, preparing invoice postings, managing bank reconciliations, ensuring month-end closure processes are completed accurately, and preparing financial reports for donors. The officer will also be responsible for checking transactions against budgets and ensuring the eligibility of costs, as well as providing monthly WB allocations to the accounting unit.
Required Qualifications: Candidates for the Finance Technical Officer position should possess a strong set of qualifications that include experience working within the technical expertise area in a humanitarian or recovery context, as well as previous experience in complex and volatile environments.
