Job Overview: The Associate in the Information Technology division is tasked with the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of the Bank’s platforms and software solutions. This role is critical within the squad, as the Associate will take a lead role in designing, developing, and optimizing EBRD's infrastructure and software solutions within their specific value stream. The Associate is expected to provide guidance to individual contributors and collaborate closely with multi-functional teams and business product owners to deliver high-quality, product-aligned services that meet user needs. The position may also involve leading small projects, and the individual must be proficient in software design and capable of implementing CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), or other relevant technologies within their area of expertise.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Associate will be responsible for a variety of technology-related tasks, including but not limited to: designing, implementing, and supporting Microsoft Windows Server environments; managing compute and storage platforms; overseeing hosting facilities such as co-location, data centers, and in-office server rooms for both headquarters and resident offices; and developing scripting, automation, and replication processes. The role requires a strong understanding of virtualization technologies and continuous data protection measures. The Associate will also work with Managed Service Providers and Professional Service Partners to ensure the effective delivery of services and solutions. Additionally, the Associate will collaborate with other capabilities, squads, and technology teams, sharing responsibility for cloud services primarily delivered from Microsoft Azure.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess intermediate to advanced technology certifications in their area of specialization, such as VMware Certified Advanced Professional. An entry-level service management certification, such as ITIL Foundation, is also required. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Managed Service Providers and Professional Service Partners, as well as a solid understanding of hosting facilities and data center operations. Proficiency in designing and supporting Microsoft Windows Server environments is essential, along with experience in scripting and automation.
Educational Background: A relevant educational background in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required. Candidates should have a strong foundation in technology principles and practices, with a focus on systems design and implementation.
Experience: The position requires candidates to have a significant level of experience in the field of Information Technology, particularly in roles that involve designing, implementing, and supporting complex IT infrastructures. Experience with cloud services, particularly Microsoft Azure, is highly desirable. Candidates should also have a proven track record of working collaboratively within multi-functional teams and leading small projects.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory, as it is the working language of the EBRD. Knowledge of additional languages relevant to the regions served by the EBRD would be considered an asset, enhancing the candidate's ability to communicate effectively in a diverse environment.
