Job Overview:
The Senior Information Management and Reporting Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the Information Management and Reporting processes within the World Food Programme's operations in Colombia. This position is integral to the preparation of operational reports and the dissemination of information to donors, the United Nations system, and the Colombian government. The Assistant will work under the supervision of the Information Management and Reporting Officer, contributing to the establishment of a comprehensive operational picture of WFP's interventions in the field. This role requires collaboration with various units, including Programs, Communications, and Monitoring and Evaluation, to ensure that reports are accurate, timely, and meet the needs of stakeholders. The Assistant will also be involved in the development of internal and external information products, such as infographics and operational briefs, to effectively communicate WFP's impact and activities in Colombia.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Senior Information Management and Reporting Assistant will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: supporting the Information Management and Reporting process for food assistance projects, leading the consolidation of monthly implementation progress reports, co-leading the preparation of technical reports for donor fund disbursement, creating internal and external information products in both Spanish and English, coordinating with various units to consolidate reports and communication pieces, providing inputs for corporate indicators, supporting the submission of intervention information to inter-agency platforms, coordinating data collection with field teams, assisting in the preparation of operational briefs regarding WFP's interventions, and contributing to the development of high-quality reports for donors. The Assistant will also support other reporting and information management activities as needed, ensuring data quality and timely submission of documents.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a minimum of a completed secondary education cycle, with a professional degree in social sciences, public policy, international relations, administration, economics, nutrition, agriculture, or related fields being desirable. Additionally, candidates should have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is essential for data management and report preparation. Candidates should also demonstrate effective communication skills and the ability to train others in data collection and reporting processes.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes the completion of secondary education, with a preference for candidates holding a professional degree in relevant fields such as social sciences, public policy, international relations, administration, economics, nutrition, or agriculture. This educational foundation is crucial for understanding the complexities of humanitarian assistance and the operational context in which WFP operates.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of five years of experience in social and community work, particularly in humanitarian assistance and development contexts. This experience should include at least two years of fieldwork in implementing and/or monitoring social projects that involve vulnerable populations. Desirable experience includes data collection and analysis, database management, and report consolidation in humanitarian and development settings. Familiarity with web-based information systems and real-time data collection applications is also beneficial.

Languages:
Fluency in both oral and written Spanish is mandatory, with advanced knowledge of English being highly desirable. Proficiency in these languages is essential for effective communication and reporting within the diverse operational environment of WFP.

Additional Notes:
This position is offered as a Service Contract for a duration of six months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and funding availability. The role is based in Bogota, Colombia, but candidates may be considered for future opportunities in other locations as operational needs arise.
