Job Overview:
The position of Project Management Support at WFP involves performing specialized and standardized policy and program-related processes and activities to support the effective delivery of assistance packages. The role requires a proactive approach to project management, ensuring alignment with WFP's policies and guidelines. The successful candidate will be responsible for compiling data, supporting analysis, and preparing reports related to food assistance needs and program performance. This position is crucial in facilitating communication and collaboration with various stakeholders, including local partners, NGOs, and government institutions, to ensure the successful implementation and monitoring of ongoing project activities. The role also includes managing routine administrative and financial tasks to contribute to the effective management of resources within the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of the Project Management Support role include performing specialized processes within the specific technical area of work, providing project management and general office support, compiling data and supporting analysis for operational decision-making, and ensuring accurate recording of data related to food security and vulnerability assessments. The candidate will work closely with internal counterparts to foster effective collaboration and will act as a point of contact for resolving operational queries. Additionally, the role involves managing routine administrative and financial tasks across various functional areas, contributing to the timely management of resources. The candidate will also support communication and activities with local partners and agencies, ensuring that all project activities are aligned with WFP's objectives and standards.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess strong communication skills, particularly in facilitating discussions with technical teams and contributing to program implementation. A solid understanding of stakeholder engagement principles is essential, as is the ability to produce high-quality written outputs in English. Experience with project budgets and financial systems is also required, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will value diverse opinions and foster an inclusive work environment.

Educational Background:
The minimum educational requirement for this position is the completion of secondary school education. However, a post-secondary certificate or university degree in fields such as development studies, social science, political science, economics, social work, public policy, or management is highly desirable. This educational background will provide the necessary foundation for understanding the complexities of project management and humanitarian assistance.

Experience:
Candidates should have at least 5 years of work experience in project management support or business/office support. Experience with an international organization or in close partnership with government agencies is preferred. This experience will equip candidates with the skills needed to navigate the challenges of working in a humanitarian context and to effectively support WFP's mission.

Languages:
Fluency in both oral and written communication in English is mandatory for this position. Additionally, fluency in Kinyarwanda is preferred, as it will facilitate communication with local stakeholders and enhance the effectiveness of project implementation.
