The organization is committed to promoting the rights of every child, ensuring their survival, development, protection, and participation. UNICEF employs a diverse workforce and offers opportunities for professional and personal development, fostering a culture where careers are built and individuals can grow while serving children and communities worldwide.

Job Overview:
The Young Professionals Programme at UNICEF Thailand provides students from various academic backgrounds with a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in the development and humanitarian sector. Participants will work alongside experienced professionals, engaging in hands-on assignments that contribute to UNICEF's mission while gaining valuable insights into the organization's operations. This program is designed to help young professionals build skills that support both their academic progress and future career development. The program focuses on areas such as digital content creation, digital advocacy, volunteer engagement, and knowledge management, allowing participants to actively contribute to UNICEF's initiatives aimed at promoting children's rights.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Young Professionals will collaborate closely with UNICEF Thailand teams to support various activities, including:
  • Assisting in public advocacy campaigns by brainstorming ideas, coordinating efforts, and reaching out to potential partners to effectively engage youth and other target audiences.
  • Contributing to the development of digital content for UNICEF's platforms, including social media, the website, and storytelling initiatives.
  • Managing community engagement activities for the I Am UNICEF volunteer platform, ensuring effective communication and participation.
  • Facilitating administrative procedures related to organizing and documenting volunteer or youth events, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Supporting knowledge management efforts by maintaining archives and organizing learning sessions on various topics relevant to UNICEF's work.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must be enrolled university students (third-year or above) or recent graduates in relevant fields such as communications, social sciences, international relations, or digital media. They should demonstrate a strong interest in children's rights, development, or humanitarian work. Additionally, candidates must possess strong communication and writing skills in both Thai and English, familiarity with digital platforms and social media, and a willingness to learn and work in a multicultural environment.

Educational Background:
The position requires candidates to be enrolled in a university program or to have recently graduated in a relevant field. This includes disciplines such as communications, social sciences, international relations, digital media, or other related areas that equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to contribute effectively to UNICEF's mission.

Experience:
While specific prior experience is not mandatory, candidates should demonstrate a keen interest in children's rights and humanitarian work. Any relevant internships, volunteer work, or academic projects that showcase their commitment to these areas will be advantageous. The program is designed for students and recent graduates, thus emphasizing the importance of enthusiasm and a willingness to learn over extensive professional experience.

Languages:
Strong communication skills in Thai and English are mandatory for this position. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset, particularly if it enhances the ability to engage with diverse communities and stakeholders in UNICEF's work.

Additional Notes:
The Young Professionals Programme is structured as a part-time opportunity lasting 4–6 months, requiring a commitment of 15–20 hours per week. The program offers flexible working arrangements to accommodate academic schedules. Participants will receive hands-on mentorship, exposure to UNICEF's work, and a certificate of completion recognizing their contributions and experiences. The program emphasizes diversity and inclusion, encouraging eligible male candidates to apply. UNICEF appointments are subject to medical clearance and may require compliance with vaccination requirements. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for the next stage of the selection process.
