Job Overview:
The Associate IT Officer (End-User Platforms) position is situated within the Infrastructure and Technology Division (ITID) of the Information Technology Department (ITD) at ADB. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the effective deployment, support, and utilization of Microsoft Copilot and related Microsoft O365 Platform tools across the organization. This position plays a crucial role in enhancing user proficiency through training programs and workshops, while also contributing to the technical documentation and knowledge management efforts within the IT Division. The Associate IT Officer will be instrumental in leading the deployment and integration of Microsoft tools, providing technical support, managing change initiatives, and acting as an advocate for software productivity tools to drive user engagement throughout the organization. This role requires a proactive approach to staying updated on the latest developments in Microsoft AI tools and O365 platforms to provide informed recommendations and insights.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Associate IT Officer (End-User Platforms) include leading the deployment and integration of Microsoft Copilot and related Microsoft tools, providing technical support and troubleshooting for these tools to end-users, developing and delivering training programs and workshops to enhance user proficiency, managing change initiatives related to the adoption and utilization of Microsoft Copilot and O365 tools, acting as an evangelist for software productivity tools, promoting their benefits and driving user engagement across the organization, assisting existing Microsoft O365 Administrators to ensure continuity of service and support, creating and maintaining technical documentation such as PowerPoint presentations, wiki articles, and user guides for the IT Division, overseeing the organization and maintenance of the IT Department wiki to ensure information is current and accessible, and staying updated on the latest developments in Microsoft AI tools and O365 platforms to provide informed recommendations and insights.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Associate IT Officer position must possess a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems Management, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related fields. Alternatively, a university degree in a related field combined with additional relevant professional experience may be considered. Applicants should have at least 5 years of relevant professional experience in IT support, systems administration, or a related field. Proven experience with Microsoft Office 365 administration and support is essential, along with strong technical writing skills and experience in creating technical documentation and training materials. Candidates should demonstrate experience in collaborating with stakeholders to design and deliver effective training programs and have familiarity with change management principles and practices. Proficiency in written and verbal English is mandatory.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for the Associate IT Officer position includes a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems Management, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or other relevant fields. Candidates with a university degree in a related field, combined with additional relevant professional experience, may also be considered for this role. Experience:

Additional Notes:
This appointment is open to both internal and external applicants and is funded by a temporary funding source, which means that the renewal of the appointment and its duration are subject to the availability of this funding. The position is a fixed-term appointment with the option to renew, initially for a period of up to 3 years or until the Normal Retirement Date (NRD), whichever comes first. After the initial fixed-term period, ADB may choose to renew the appointment for up to an additional 3 years or not renew it, based on various factors including the requirement of the staff's particular blend of skills and experience for the medium-term work program, sufficient funding to cover the renewed period, and the staff's performance and suitability for employment. There is no limit to the number of renewals up to NRD, but this appointment is not convertible to a regular appointment.
