Job Overview:
The position of Individual Contractor for Technical Notes Formatting is crucial for ensuring that technical documents are not only informative but also visually appealing and accessible for both digital and print formats. The contractor will work closely with the Chief of DTL/STIDS to create three technical notes that adhere to the UNCTAD branding and editorial standards. This role requires a keen eye for design and an understanding of how to effectively communicate complex information through visual means. The contractor will be responsible for incorporating various visual elements such as charts, tables, icons, and infographics to enhance the readability and engagement of the documents. The outputs must be prepared in both editable InDesign formats and export-ready PDF formats, ensuring that they are suitable for distribution and publication.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The individual contractor will have several key responsibilities, including: - Formatting and visually designing three technical notes in accordance with UNCTAD branding and editorial standards. - Incorporating appropriate visual elements such as charts, tables, icons, and infographics to enhance the documents. - Ensuring consistency in layout, typography, and visual identity across all three documents. - Preparing the final outputs in both editable InDesign formats and export-ready PDF formats. - Collaborating with the Chief of DTL/STIDS to ensure that the technical notes meet the required standards and effectively communicate the intended messages.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a high school diploma with special studies in graphic design or related fields. Additionally, at least four years of responsible professional experience in cross-media communications, design, and conception is required. Previous experience in implementing communication and design activities, particularly with a focus on development issues, is highly desirable. The ability to work independently and manage time effectively is also essential for this role.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a high school diploma, with a preference for candidates who have pursued special studies in graphic design or related fields.
