Duties and Responsibilities:
Interns will be responsible for a variety of tasks that include: drafting Spanish news articles by integrating and translating information from diverse sources such as reports and press releases; translating English video scripts and photo captions into Spanish; proofreading news articles before and after publication; assisting with fact-checking and background research; producing graphic, visual, and audio content; conducting research and interviews for feature stories; reviewing the partnerships database in collaboration with the UN Partnerships Unit; and performing other duties as assigned, including outreach efforts. Interns will be encouraged to take initiative and contribute creatively to the newsroom's output, ensuring that the content produced is accurate, engaging, and reflective of the UN's values.

Required Qualifications:
To qualify for this internship, applicants must meet specific criteria: they should be enrolled in or have completed a graduate program in fields such as communication, journalism, international relations, public administration, English, or translation studies. Alternatively, applicants may be in their final academic year of a bachelor's degree in these areas. Proficiency in standard software applications, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel, is essential.
