Job Overview: The National Consultant for Disability Inclusion will play a crucial role in promoting disability-inclusive employment and business practices in China. The consultant will be responsible for developing a bilingual (Chinese-English) know-how guide that will empower organizations of persons with disabilities (OPDs) to engage effectively with businesses. This guide will be accompanied by a localization toolkit to adapt the content for use in other countries. The consultant will also train 15-20 OPDs in China on effective business engagement strategies and will facilitate the formation of a nationwide OPD Working Group on Business Engagement. This group will focus on promoting disability-inclusive business practices, providing networking support, and monitoring progress in the business sector regarding disability inclusion. The consultant will work remotely and is expected to deliver high-quality outputs that align with the goals of the project, which include improving capacities of stakeholders and enhancing regional collaboration on disability inclusion.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the National Consultant include:
Developing a bilingual (Chinese-English) know-how guide for OPDs to engage with businesses for disability inclusion.

Required Qualifications: The required qualifications for the National Consultant position include:
An advanced university degree in disability studies, social science, political science, or a related field.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in business advisory roles focused on corporate strategies for disability inclusion.
In-depth knowledge of the policy and business landscape related to disability inclusion in China.
Established relationships with key stakeholders, including business sector actors, local governments, and OPDs/CSOs.
Familiarity with employment, entrepreneurship, and business sourcing policies concerning persons with disabilities in China.
Proven experience in providing guidance and training to OPDs and CSOs on engaging the business sector for disability inclusion.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively with policymakers and business leaders.
Sensitivity to disability inclusion issues and the ability to convey messages in a culturally appropriate manner.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, especially in engaging diverse stakeholders.
