Job Overview:
The Intern - Partnerships position at UNDP is designed for individuals who possess strong communication, analytical, planning, and implementation skills. The role involves engaging with various stakeholders to develop country-specific solutions that contribute to sustainable development in India. Interns will be expected to apply global best practices to local contexts, demonstrating enthusiasm and commitment to making a positive impact on development issues. The position is part of the Partnerships team, where the intern will work under the supervision of the Head of Communications and Partnerships. The intern will be responsible for mapping potential partners, creating partnership profiles, assisting with due diligence, preparing presentations and outreach materials, organizing events, and supporting knowledge management activities related to public and private sector engagement. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in partnership development within a leading international organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will undertake a variety of tasks, including: conducting comprehensive mapping of potential partners such as private sector entities, foundations, and donors; creating and updating Partnership Profiles for various funding entities; assisting with due diligence for partnerships; preparing presentations, toolkits, and other materials; supporting the development of outreach products; organizing meetings and events; and managing knowledge related to partner engagement. The intern will also be expected to undertake additional assignments as directed by the Strategic Partnerships Specialist, ensuring a proactive approach to all responsibilities.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must meet one of the following educational requirements: be enrolled in a postgraduate degree program, be in the final year of a bachelor's degree program, have recently graduated with a relevant degree, or be enrolled in a postgraduate professional traineeship program. Additionally, candidates should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong research and analytical abilities, organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. IT skills related to administration are advantageous, and candidates should be able to work effectively under tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this internship includes enrollment in a postgraduate degree program or being in the final year of a bachelor's degree program. Recent graduates who meet these criteria and can start the internship within one year of graduation are also eligible. Candidates enrolled in a postgraduate professional traineeship program that includes the internship as part of their curriculum are encouraged to apply.

Experience:
While specific prior experience is not mandated, candidates should demonstrate relevant skills and competencies that align with the responsibilities of the internship. This includes strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Experience in research, partnership development, or project management may be beneficial but is not a strict requirement.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory for this position, while understanding Hindi is desirable. This language proficiency will facilitate effective communication within the team and with external partners, enhancing the intern's ability to contribute to the organization's objectives.
