The intern will work closely with the Operational Safety (OPS) Section, assisting in the implementation of airworthiness-related Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) from various Annexes, including Annex 1 (Personnel Licensing), Annex 6 (Operation of Aircraft), and Annex 8 (Airworthiness of Aircraft). The role involves conducting research, analyzing information, and presenting findings to support the development and monitoring of airworthiness standards. The intern will also collaborate with Technical Officers and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and implementation of aviation safety measures. This position is designed to enhance the intern's understanding of international aviation regulations and provide practical experience in a professional setting.
Duties and Responsibilities: The intern will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities aimed at supporting the OPS Section of ANB. Key duties include conducting research on assigned issues related to aircraft airworthiness and other specialized areas, analyzing relevant materials, and presenting findings for internal review. Additional Notes: This internship is unpaid, and all costs related to travel, insurance, accommodation, and living expenses must be covered by the intern. The duration of the internship ranges from three to six months, with the expectation that the intern will work full-time, five days a week. Interns are not permitted to engage in any other form of employment within ICAO during their internship and are ineligible to apply for or be appointed to any post in the Secretariat or contracted for any other remunerated employment with ICAO for six months following the end of their internship. Candidates must also possess a valid work permit for Canada to be eligible for this internship.
