Duties and Responsibilities: Interns will have a range of responsibilities, including but not limited to: assisting in the preparation of substantive documentation; performing research assignments and analysis in multiple policy areas related to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development; aiding in the preparation of major international conferences and meetings; drafting and preparing official documents; attending and summarizing conferences and meetings; conducting document, legal, and internet research; speechwriting; analyzing qualitative and quantitative data related to sustainable development; preparing data visualizations; following and reporting on intergovernmental meetings; and assisting with information and database management.
Required Qualifications: Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) be enrolled in a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum Bachelor's level or equivalent); or (c) be within a few years from graduation and in an early stage of their careers. No prior work experience is required, but applicants should have a field of study closely related to the internship. Computer literacy in standard software applications is necessary, and knowledge of sustainable development issues is advantageous. Candidates should demonstrate openness in sharing information and keeping others informed.
Educational Background: Candidates must be enrolled in a graduate program or in the final year of their undergraduate studies (Bachelor's level or equivalent). Alternatively, applicants who have completed their Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. programs are also eligible. Proof of enrollment or completion will be required during the application process.
