Job Overview:
The Associate Analysis & Research Officer will play a crucial role within the Global Analysis and System Team of UNHCR's Private Sector and Partnership (PSP) division. This position is designed to support the organization's fundraising efforts by providing analytical insights and data-driven strategies to enhance individual giving programs. The incumbent will be responsible for managing and analyzing data related to fundraising performance, ensuring data consistency across various markets, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to optimize fundraising strategies. The role requires a high level of analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate findings effectively to support decision-making processes. The successful candidate will be involved in key projects aimed at improving the PSP's insight into fundraising performance and identifying new opportunities for donor engagement. This position is particularly important as UNHCR seeks to increase its fundraising revenue in response to growing humanitarian needs and limited public budgets.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Associate Analysis & Research Officer include supporting the Donor360 data warehouse project, focusing on data consistency across markets, and overseeing the data supply and validation process. The incumbent will manage the data supply for the Peer Review benchmarking project, ensuring accurate individual giving data is provided for the INDIGO benchmarking project. Additionally, the officer will extract analytical insights from the Donor360 data warehouse and benchmarking reports to identify key trends and opportunities for donor development. Collaboration with the UNHCR data analyst network is essential to share insights and implement best practices in data management and analysis. The officer will also manage the workload of suppliers and independent consultants, ensuring timely delivery of outputs and serving as a contractual liaison. Preparing and distributing market-ready forecast files for annual planning, liaising with markets on projections, and ensuring data quality and accuracy are also key responsibilities. The position may involve occasional travel for project-related activities.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an undergraduate degree (equivalent to a BA/BS) along with at least three years of relevant work experience involving extensive use of database systems. Alternatively, a graduate degree (equivalent to a Master's) plus two years of experience or a Doctorate degree (equivalent to a PhD) plus one year of relevant experience may also be accepted. In-depth knowledge and proven experience in fundraising or business analysis, as well as performance evaluation at operational and management levels, are required. Familiarity with Google Analytics is essential, and experience with international non-profit organizations or global companies is highly desirable. Excellent proficiency in English is mandatory, and candidates should demonstrate strong analytical and communication skills.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes an undergraduate degree in a relevant field, such as business, finance, or data analysis. Candidates with a graduate degree or a doctorate in a related discipline will be given preference. The educational qualifications should reflect a strong foundation in analytical methods, data management, and fundraising strategies, equipping the candidate with the necessary skills to perform effectively in this role.

Experience:
The level of experience needed for the Associate Analysis & Research Officer position includes a minimum of three years of relevant work experience for candidates with an undergraduate degree. Those with a graduate degree should have at least two years of experience, while candidates with a doctorate should have one year of relevant experience. Experience in fundraising analysis, business analysis, and performance evaluation is crucial, along with a proven track record of using database-driven analysis systems and querying large datasets. Familiarity with quantitative data analysis software, such as Excel and Microsoft SQL, is required, as well as experience with BI and visualization tools like Power BI.

Languages:
The mandatory language for this position is English, which must be spoken and written fluently. Additional Notes:
This position is remote, allowing the successful candidate to work from home while collaborating with colleagues globally. The role is full-time, requiring 40 hours of work per week from Monday to Friday, with working hours from 8:30 AM to 5 PM. The initial contract duration is until the end of the year, with the possibility of extension based on budget availability and performance.
