Job Overview:
The PMR - RMS Support Consultant will work closely with the PMR Unit, providing essential support for planning, monitoring, and reporting activities. The consultant will assist in organizing planning-related meetings, workshops, and webinars, ensuring compliance with UN Women’s policies and guidelines. Responsibilities include providing technical advice for the development and revision of multi-year business plans and work plans, facilitating timely approvals, and assisting users with the online Result Management System (RMS). The consultant will also support monitoring and reporting efforts, including reviewing reports and providing feedback from a results-based perspective. This role is crucial for ensuring that UN Women’s objectives are met effectively and efficiently.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support planning by organizing meetings, workshops, and webinars related to planning activities.
  • Facilitate reviews of draft multi-year business plans and work plans, ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines.
  • Provide technical assistance for revisions of plans, checking accuracy and justifications.
  • Assist users in navigating the online RMS and provide technical advice.
  • Liaise with HQ units to resolve RMS-related issues.
  • Support monitoring and reporting by reviewing six-monthly and annual reports, providing technical feedback.
  • Organize dialogues and mid-year reviews between the Regional Director and country offices.
  • Act as a backup during the absence of the focal point for donor reporting.
  • Prepare reports, talking points, and other materials as requested. 1
  • Maintain logs of reviews, revisions, and completed cases related to donor reports.

Required Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Law, Political Science, Development, Public Administration, or a relevant field.
  • A first-level university degree with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced degree.
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience in planning, monitoring, and reporting in international organizations or NGOs.
  • Experience with online systems for planning, monitoring, and reporting is required.
  • Familiarity with UN Women’s RMS is an asset.
  • Experience in a UN or similar international organization context is desirable.
  • A certificate in project management is a plus.

Educational Background:
Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Social Sciences, Law, Political Science, Development, or Public Administration. Alternatively, a first-level university degree combined with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree.

Experience:
The position requires at least 2 years of work experience in relevant areas, specifically in supporting planning, monitoring, and reporting within international organizations or NGOs. Familiarity with online systems for these functions is essential, and experience in a UN context is highly desirable.

Languages:
Proficiency in English is mandatory for this position. Additional language skills may be considered an asset but are not specified as requirements.

The consultant will be based in Bangkok, Thailand, and will be compensated according to a payment schedule based on the submission and approval of deliverables. The position is expected to last until December 2025, with specific outputs and tasks outlined for the consultant to complete.
