Duties and Responsibilities: The intern's daily responsibilities will include:
Mapping potential donor interests to aid in resource mobilization efforts.
Conducting monitoring of funding trends to identify opportunities for the organization.
Supporting the development of donor proposals that align with the OHCHR's mission and objectives.
Assisting in the preparation of donor briefings, meetings, and other related events.
Preparing meeting notes and summaries to ensure accurate documentation of discussions and decisions.
Performing other related duties as requested by the supervisor, which may include research, data analysis, and administrative support. The intern will work closely with the Donor Relations team to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively, contributing to the overall success of the organization's funding initiatives.
Required Qualifications: To qualify for the United Nations Secretariat internship programme, applicants must be enrolled in the final academic year of a first-level university degree programme (Bachelor's degree or equivalent) or be enrolled in a graduate school programme (Master's degree or equivalent, or higher). Candidates should ideally have a background in international relations, business, marketing, social sciences, or a related field. While no prior work experience is required, any previous internships or work experience at the UN, NGOs, or in the private sector will be considered an asset.
