Job Overview:
The role of the Online Volunteer is crucial for evaluating the performance of UN-HABITAT staff in Central Africa. This position involves assessing the strengths and weaknesses of employees, identifying areas for improvement, and proposing a capacity-building plan. The volunteer will also support the implementation of a summary initiation guide for new staff, ensuring that they are well-prepared for their roles. Additionally, the volunteer will analyze HR procedures related to hiring, selection, and onboarding, as well as evaluate measures of employee satisfaction, motivation, and retention. This position requires a keen understanding of HR strategies and their alignment with the overall organizational strategy, making it essential for enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of UN-HABITAT's operations in the region.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Online Volunteer will be responsible for the following duties:
  • Evaluate the performance of UN-HABITAT staff in Central Africa, identifying strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
  • Propose a capacity-building plan based on the evaluation findings.
  • Identify opportunities for professional development for staff members.
  • Support the implementation of a summary initiation guide for new employees to facilitate their onboarding process.
  • Analyze HR procedures related to hiring, selection, and onboarding to ensure they are effective and efficient.
  • Evaluate employee satisfaction, motivation, and retention measures to understand the work environment better.
  • Verify the consistency between the HR strategy and the overall organizational strategy to ensure alignment and effectiveness in achieving UN-HABITAT's goals.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for this position should possess strong analytical skills and a background in human resources or organizational development. They should be able to evaluate performance effectively and propose actionable plans for improvement. Excellent communication skills are essential, as the volunteer will be working with various stakeholders within the organization. Familiarity with HR procedures and practices is also required, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Educational Background:

Languages:
