Job Overview:
The Rehabilitation Senior Technical Officer will play a crucial role in supporting Humanity & Inclusion's emergency response efforts in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. This position is vital for providing specialized technical support to field teams, ensuring the effective implementation of rehabilitation projects. The officer will work closely with healthcare professionals to assess patient needs, monitor progress, and enhance service delivery through quality assurance measures. The role also involves providing education and training to patients and their caregivers, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge to utilize assistive devices effectively. The officer will be responsible for adapting technical documentation to align with global standards and contributing to reports and proposals that support the organization's mission.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Rehabilitation Senior Technical Officer will have five main responsibilities: 1) Provide specialized technical support to the rehabilitation team, ensuring adherence to technical frameworks and standards. This includes on-the-job training and coaching, as well as remote support. 2) Collaborate with healthcare professionals to gather comprehensive information for accurate patient assessments and implement quality assurance measures for rehabilitation services. 3) Monitor patient progress, document outcomes, and participate in evaluation initiatives to improve service delivery. 4) Conduct technical training for staff, support recruitment processes, and build team capacity in emergency rehabilitation. 5) Coordinate with external partners to strengthen referral pathways and raise awareness of services, while actively participating in technical coordination groups and contributing to advocacy efforts.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a degree in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy, with at least five years of overall professional experience and a minimum of three years of rehabilitation experience in emergency humanitarian settings. Experience in supervision and health science pedagogy is also required. Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to manage stress, and flexibility in adapting to changing situations are essential for success in this role. Fluency in both oral and written English is mandatory, as effective communication is crucial in this position.

Educational Background:
A degree in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy is required for this position. This educational background provides the necessary foundation for understanding rehabilitation practices and methodologies, which are critical for effectively supporting patients in emergency settings.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have at least five years of professional experience, with a focus on three years specifically in rehabilitation within emergency humanitarian contexts. This experience is vital for understanding the complexities and challenges faced in such environments, as well as for effectively implementing rehabilitation services that meet the needs of vulnerable populations.

Languages:
Fluency in English, both oral and written, is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset, particularly if it enhances communication with local populations and stakeholders in the regions served by Humanity & Inclusion.

Additional Notes:
This position is based in Amman, Jordan, with potential rotations into Gaza and the West Bank, depending on security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security and access conditions. The contract duration is five months, starting from July 15th, 2025, with the possibility of renewal. The international contract includes various benefits such as unemployment insurance for EU nationals, a pension scheme, medical coverage with a 50% employee contribution, and repatriation insurance. The gross monthly salary starts at 2,448 euros, with a net per diem of 713 euros paid in the field. Employees are entitled to 25 paid leave days per year and rest and recuperation (R&R) days according to the mission level. Housing will be provided collectively by HI, and the position is unaccompanied.
