Job Overview:
The Senior Workplace Hospitality Assistant plays a crucial role within the Hospitality Management Unit of the Corporate Services Department at ADB. This position is responsible for ensuring that hospitality services meet the highest standards and that all functions and events are executed smoothly. The assistant will monitor the availability of services and the condition of facilities, respond to customer requests and feedback, and oversee service contractors. The role also involves providing operational and administrative support for food services across the headquarters. The assistant will be expected to engage with various stakeholders, including clients and service providers, to ensure that all hospitality-related needs are met effectively and efficiently. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining high service quality standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Senior Workplace Hospitality Assistant will have a wide range of responsibilities, including but not limited to: monitoring arrangements for official and special functions, ensuring that venue and catering requirements are met; responding to client feedback regarding service quality and implementing immediate resolutions; overseeing the implementation of food service contracts and evaluating contractor performance; conducting market research to identify potential suppliers; monitoring the performance of sub-concessionaires and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards; evaluating new products and trends in service operations; managing procurement control and inventory of service items; handling the identification and operationalization of service technology tools; and providing inputs for enhancing business processes related to food services management. The assistant will also perform other duties as assigned in their workplan.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Senior Workplace Hospitality Assistant position must possess a Bachelor's degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Institution Management (BS-HRIM) or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in the food service industry is required, particularly in areas such as cafeteria management, catering, hotel services, or banquet service. Candidates should have direct experience in kitchen management, menu planning, food production, procurement, and quality assurance. Additionally, a working knowledge of asset management policies, budget monitoring, and inventory management is essential. Proficiency in relevant computer applications, including databases like Oracle, Outlook, SharePoint, and Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, is necessary. Familiarity with HACCP, ServSafe, and ISO standards is also required. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams are essential for success in this role.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor's degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Institution Management (BS-HRIM) or a closely related field. This educational foundation is critical for understanding the complexities of hospitality management and food service operations, which are central to the responsibilities of the Senior Workplace Hospitality Assistant.

Experience:
The position requires at least 5 years of relevant experience in the food service industry. Additional Notes:
This position is a fixed-term appointment for an initial period of 3 years, with the possibility of extension for up to 2 additional years, conversion to a regular appointment, or termination at the end of the initial period based on ADB's needs and the employee's performance.
