Job Overview: The National UX/UI IT Specialist will play a critical role in the development and implementation of the Accounting Module for the KARTATEKA platform. This position is integral to the Ministry of Transport's efforts to enhance efficiency, reduce operational costs, and improve decision-making in road infrastructure management. The specialist will work closely with an IT team over an estimated period of five months, divided into three phases: Development of the Accounting Module, Testing and Integration with the KARTATEKA System, and Training and Maintenance. The specialist will ensure that the module aligns with the Ministry's objectives and meets user needs through effective design and usability testing. This role requires a strong focus on user-centered design principles and collaboration with various stakeholders to achieve the project's long-term goals.
Duties and Responsibilities: The National UX/UI IT Specialist will be responsible for a range of tasks, including:
Designing user-friendly interfaces for the Accounting Module, ensuring consistency across the KARTATEKA platform.
Collaborating with back-end and front-end developers to implement designs seamlessly.
Conducting user research to gather insights on user behavior and platform requirements.
Leading usability testing sessions to validate design choices and iterating based on feedback.
Developing and maintaining UI/UX documentation, including style guides and design systems.
Supporting training efforts by creating instructional materials for end users.
Reporting progress and challenges to project coordinators and providing recommendations for improvements.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Information Technology, or a related field. A minimum of three years of professional experience in UX/UI design for web platforms or enterprise-level systems is required. Proven expertise in designing user interfaces for complex, data-driven applications is essential. Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or InVision is necessary, along with a solid understanding of responsive design and accessibility standards. Experience in developing design systems and UI style guides is also required, as well as knowledge of front-end technologies for effective collaboration with development teams. Prior experience with financial or ERP systems is highly desirable, and familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies is preferred.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Information Technology, or a related field. This educational foundation is crucial for understanding the principles of design, user experience, and technology integration necessary for the role.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of three years of professional experience in UX/UI design, specifically for web platforms or enterprise-level systems. Candidates should have a proven track record of designing user interfaces and experience flows for complex applications, demonstrating their ability to create effective and user-friendly designs.
Languages: Professional fluency in Tajik and Russian is required, with excellent communication skills in both oral and written forms. Professional fluency in English is considered an asset, enhancing the candidate's ability to communicate effectively in a diverse work environment.
Additional Notes: This consultancy position is open to citizens and permanent residents of Tajikistan only. The contract duration is estimated at five months, and the position is classified under the Special Service Agreement (SSA) / Consultant contract type. Remuneration will be based on the selected consultant's qualifications and experience, in accordance with OSCE established rates.
