Job Overview:
The Salesforce Technical Specialist position at FAO offers a unique opportunity for a proactive and innovative professional to provide essential technical support for the growth, integration, and ongoing development of the Salesforce ecosystem within the organization. The incumbent will bridge both technical and functional roles, working closely with stakeholders to ensure end-to-end delivery of Salesforce solutions. This includes gathering requirements, customizing the platform, testing, deploying, and implementing incremental enhancements. The role is crucial for maintaining the integrity and functionality of FAO's Salesforce environment, which supports various applications such as Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Pardot. The Specialist will also be responsible for ensuring that solutions align with organizational needs and best practices, contributing to the overall architecture of the platform.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Salesforce Technical Specialist will engage in a variety of tasks that encompass both technical and functional activities. Key responsibilities include collaborating with business teams to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into functional and technical solutions. The Specialist will design and implement Salesforce solutions using both declarative tools (like Flows and Validation Rules) and programmatic tools (such as Apex and Lightning Web Components). Additionally, the role involves maintaining and enhancing existing Salesforce functionalities, integrating Salesforce with external systems using APIs, performing data migration and transformation, troubleshooting issues, and supporting deployments. The Specialist will also conduct testing, provide end-user support and training, stay updated with Salesforce platform updates, develop proof-of-concept demos, assist with code reviews, and contribute to agile project delivery.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree in computer science, information technology, information systems, software engineering, electrical or electronic engineering, mathematics, statistics, or a related field. For Professional Service Associates (PSAs), a Salesforce Administrator Certificate is mandatory. Relevant professional experience with the Salesforce developer toolkit, including Apex, VisualForce, and APIs, is required, with varying years of experience depending on the category of the position. A working knowledge of English is also necessary.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a university degree in a relevant field such as computer science, information technology, or software engineering. For PSAs, holding a Salesforce professional certificate, specifically the Salesforce Administrator Certificate, is essential. This educational foundation ensures that candidates have the necessary technical knowledge and skills to effectively support and enhance the Salesforce environment at FAO.

Experience:
The level of experience required for the Salesforce Technical Specialist position varies based on the category of the role. For PSAs, candidates should have 1-4 years of relevant experience, while those in Category C should have 2-4 years, Category B should have 5-9 years, and Category A should have at least 10 years of experience with the Salesforce developer toolkit and related technologies.
