Job Overview: The position of Spécialiste en formation numérique (e-learning) at WFP involves developing and implementing digital training modules aimed at enhancing the capacity of various stakeholders involved in school feeding programs in Benin. The role is crucial in supporting the implementation of the Integrated School Feeding and Nutrition Project (PiASN), which aims to improve access to education and nutrition for children in targeted communities. The specialist will work closely with the Capacity Strengthening and Knowledge Management Unit, as well as other program units, to design and facilitate online training sessions that promote effective learning and knowledge sharing. The overarching goal is to ensure that all children, especially those affected by food insecurity, have access to nutritious meals and quality education, thereby contributing to the Sustainable Development Goal of Zero Hunger.
Duties and Responsibilities: The specialist will be responsible for providing pedagogical and technical advice to the Capacity Strengthening & Knowledge Management team for the development of digital training formats. Key responsibilities include designing and supporting the creation of online training sessions and modules, defining educational objectives, creating storyboards and scripts, recording and editing audio-visual content, and utilizing specific software such as Articulate Storyline. The role also involves deploying, facilitating, and animating online training sessions, ensuring interactive and engaging learning experiences. Additionally, the specialist will develop online modalities for knowledge sharing and capitalizing on training materials, evaluate training sessions, and prepare comprehensive reports on training outcomes. The expected deliverables include the identification and production of digital training tools, deployment of online training, establishment of knowledge-sharing platforms, and the preparation of final reports and documentation of the training process.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess strong pedagogical skills and technical expertise in e-learning development. Proficiency in instructional design principles and experience with e-learning authoring tools are essential. The role requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams. Familiarity with the educational context in Benin and understanding of school feeding programs will be advantageous. The candidate should demonstrate a commitment to WFP's values and mission, with a focus on inclusivity and capacity building.
Educational Background: A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in education, instructional design, or a related field is required. Advanced degrees or certifications in e-learning or digital education will be considered an asset. Experience: The position requires a minimum of three years of relevant experience in instructional design, e-learning development, or capacity building in educational settings.
