Job Overview:
The Senior Analyst position within the Science and Technology Policy Division (STP) of the OECD's Directorate for Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) is pivotal in leading statistical development and monitoring activities. The successful candidate will spearhead the design and implementation of STI measurement activities, ensuring alignment with OECD standards. This role involves managing projects, supervising team members, and communicating measurement recommendations to member countries and partners. The Senior Analyst will also contribute to the preparation of statistical releases and reports, exploring innovative approaches to STI monitoring challenges, and ensuring high-quality outputs that inform evidence-based policies.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Senior Analyst will be responsible for leading and coordinating STI measurement activities, managing projects to ensure timely delivery of quality outputs, and supervising team members. Key duties include overseeing statistical data collection and reporting procedures, preparing high-quality documents such as analytical working papers and guidance materials, and participating in multidisciplinary projects. The role also involves liaising with other OECD Directorates, contributing to meetings with national government delegates, and enhancing collaboration with decision-makers and external experts. The Senior Analyst will promote OECD measurement guidance and stay updated on developments in STI monitoring.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced university degree in economics, statistics, operations research, data science, or a related discipline. A minimum of eight years of professional experience in the production or advanced use of official statistics is required, preferably in business, education, or labor markets. Demonstrable experience in innovative data processes and project management involving socioeconomic research methods is essential. Knowledge of science and innovation policy issues and experience with cross-country research and statistical development are advantageous.

Educational Background:
An advanced university degree in a relevant field such as economics, statistics, operations research, or data science is mandatory for this position. This educational background is crucial for understanding the complexities of STI measurement and analysis, as well as for contributing effectively to the OECD's mission.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have at least eight years of professional experience in the field of official statistics, with a focus on business, education, or labor markets. Experience in managing projects that utilize socioeconomic research methods and innovative data processes is essential. Familiarity with cross-country research and statistical development, particularly in relation to science, technology, and innovation topics, is highly desirable.

Languages:
Fluency in one of the two OECD official languages, English or French, is mandatory, along with knowledge of the other language. A commitment to achieving a good working level in the second language is expected. Knowledge of additional languages would be considered an asset, enhancing the candidate's ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.

• The OECD provides a competitive salary starting at 9,610 EUR per month, plus allowances based on eligibility, and is exempt from French income tax.
