Job Overview: The role primarily revolves around two types of missions: supporting the director with development elements and assisting the partnerships team in coordinating concrete projects. The intern will engage in tasks such as researching new partners, supporting business development processes, updating partnership proposals, and identifying foundations in the health sector. Additionally, the intern will follow ongoing partnerships and projects, conduct research and interviews with entrepreneurs, analyze their projects to find synergies with the team and partners, and participate in designing workshops with partners. This includes creating travel journals for immersive days with social entrepreneurs and developing workshops around innovations in plastic management. The intern will also help communicate the stories of changemakers in the business world, such as interviewing employees and entrepreneurs who have collaborated, and creatively showcasing impactful stories.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the search for new partners (20% of the role) by assisting in business development processes, updating partnership proposals, and identifying relevant foundations in the health sector.
Provide advice on establishing a new pitch format.
Follow up on ongoing partnerships and projects (80% of the role) by researching and interviewing entrepreneurs, analyzing their projects to identify synergies with the team and partners, particularly in the health sector in Switzerland and internationally.
Participate in constructing workshops with partners, such as creating travel journals for immersive experiences with social entrepreneurs and developing workshops focused on innovations in plastic management.
Assist in communicating the stories of changemakers in the business sector, including interviewing employees and entrepreneurs who have collaborated and creatively presenting impactful stories.
Required Qualifications: Minimum of Bac+3 (equivalent to a Bachelor's degree) in project management or a related field. Enthusiasm for Ashoka's mission and the impact of Ashoka Fellows, as well as their funding. Knowledge of the sector and understanding of the challenges of entrepreneurship and social innovation is a plus. Experience in associations and internships in companies are also advantageous. Skills required include teamwork, a passion for collaborative work, strong listening and analytical abilities, organizational skills, and proactivity. Technical skills should include proficiency with computer tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Canva. Creativity and an interest in graphic subjects are also important. Fluency in English is mandatory.
Educational Background: Candidates should have at least a Bac+3 level of education, which typically corresponds to a Bachelor's degree in project management or a related field. This educational background is essential to ensure that the candidate has the necessary theoretical knowledge and skills to effectively contribute to the projects and initiatives undertaken by Ashoka.
Experience: Candidates are expected to have some level of experience, which may include previous internships or volunteer work in relevant fields. Experience in associations or previous internships in companies will be considered a plus, as it demonstrates the candidate's ability to work in diverse environments and understand the dynamics of social entrepreneurship and innovation.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of additional languages may be considered an asset, particularly if they are relevant to the regions where Ashoka operates or where partnerships are being developed.
Additional Notes: The internship is located within the Climate House in Paris, 2nd arrondissement. Partial remote work is allowed. The compensation for this position is €770 gross per month. The internship period is expected to start in April or May 2025 and will last for 6 months.
