Job Overview:
The position of Individual Consultant for Immunization Training Videos involves coordinating the development of at least 50 scenarios for short demo training videos that focus on various aspects of immunization. The consultant will oversee the entire filming process, ensuring that the scenarios are comprehensive and aligned with national health policies and cultural norms. The role is crucial in enhancing the quality of immunization practices in Tajikistan, where effective communication of health information is vital for improving public health outcomes. The consultant will work closely with the Ministry of Health and Social Protection and other relevant stakeholders to ensure that the training videos are accurate, relevant, and effectively disseminated. The assignment is expected to take place over a period of 55 working days between May and September 2025, under the supervision of the Health Specialist at UNICEF Tajikistan.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will be responsible for the following duties:
  • Development of Scenarios: Coordinate the creation of 50 detailed scenarios for short demo training videos on various aspects of immunization, ensuring they cover different practices, challenges, and solutions. Review and revise scenarios based on feedback from the Ministry of Health and Social Protection (MOHSP) and the Republican Center of Immunoprophylaxis (RCIP).
  • Coordination and Facilitation: Conduct regular coordination meetings with MOHSP to ensure alignment with national health policies and cultural norms. Facilitate the approval process for all scenarios and filming plans with MOHSP/RCIP. Document and incorporate feedback from MOHSP/RCIP into the final scenarios and filming plans.
  • Filming Process Oversight: Develop a detailed filming schedule and plan, supervise the filming process to ensure accurate translation of scenarios into training videos, and perform quality assurance checks to ensure all details are correctly addressed during filming.

Required Qualifications:
To qualify for this consultancy, candidates must possess a university degree in Journalism, Filmmaking, or a closely related field. They should have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in content development, media production, or public communication, preferably related to health or education. Proven experience in developing training scenarios, scripts, or multimedia materials, including coordinating video production projects, is essential. Experience related to social and behavioral change with a focus on child health, healthy lifestyle, and immunization is also required. Additionally, experience working with government partners or development agencies is considered an asset.

Educational Background:
Candidates must have a university degree in Journalism, Filmmaking, or a closely related field. This educational background is crucial for understanding the nuances of media production and effective communication strategies, particularly in the context of health education and public awareness campaigns.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in relevant fields such as content development, media production, or public communication. Candidates should have a strong background in developing training materials and coordinating video production projects, particularly in health or education sectors. Experience in social and behavioral change initiatives, especially those focused on child health and immunization, is highly desirable. Familiarity with working alongside government entities or development organizations will be beneficial.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of Russian and Tajik languages is considered an asset, as it will facilitate communication with local stakeholders and enhance the effectiveness of the training materials developed.

  • The consultant will work under the supervision of the Health Specialist at UNICEF Tajikistan and in close cooperation with the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of Population. Candidates are required to submit a CV, a completed Expression of Interest (EOI) form, a financial proposal in TJS indicating the fee per day, and contact information for three references.
