Job Overview:

Duties and Responsibilities:
Interns will assist in the preparation and organization of the 2nd International Conference on Accelerators for Research and Sustainable Development, scheduled for June 202

• This includes coordinating logistics, preparing conference proceedings, and developing outreach materials relevant to accelerator applications. Additionally, interns will contribute to the maintenance and updating of the IAEA Accelerator Knowledge Portal, which includes interactive maps and databases of particle accelerators worldwide. They will also be involved in drafting technical documents and meeting reports, ensuring that all materials are accurate and well-organized. The role requires collaboration with various teams within the IAEA, providing interns with a multidisciplinary work environment.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree in Nuclear Physics, Accelerator Physics, Nuclear Engineering, or related fields. A basic understanding of nuclear physics techniques and applications is essential. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment are required. Interns should have the capability to draft technical documents and meeting reports clearly and concisely. Experience in developing databases and their visualization, particularly using Tableau software, is considered an asset. Familiarity with SharePoint and/or INDICO platforms is also advantageous. Strong written and spoken English skills are mandatory, and fluency in any other IAEA official language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish) is a plus.

Educational Background:
Candidates must have completed at least three years of full-time studies at a university or equivalent institution towards the completion of a first degree. This educational requirement ensures that interns have a solid foundation in their field of study, which is crucial for their contributions to the IAEA's projects and initiatives. Candidates who have recently graduated, up to one year after completing their bachelor's, master's, or doctorate degree, are also eligible to apply, allowing for a diverse range of applicants with varying levels of experience and knowledge.
