Job Overview:
The National Consultant / Trainer position at UN Women in Georgia involves developing training modules and conducting training sessions focused on gender equality, women's rights, sexual harassment, and women's empowerment. The consultant will work closely with UN Women staff to adapt existing training materials and create new content tailored to different target groups. The role requires conducting training sessions in various locations across Georgia, including urban and rural areas, and may involve online training as well. The consultant will be responsible for assessing training needs, developing detailed work plans, and producing training materials. The position is home-based but includes the possibility of travel for training purposes. The consultant will report to the UN Women Country Representative and Deputy Country Representative, with support from Programme Specialists and Analysts.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant's duties include learning existing UN Women training modules, designing new or adapting existing training sessions, conducting trainings for diverse stakeholder groups, developing a detailed work plan, creating a training needs assessment questionnaire, conducting needs assessments, producing training materials, and analyzing pre- and post-training surveys. The consultant will also be responsible for drafting a final training report that outlines the training process, results of assessments, and recommendations for follow-up actions. Deliverables include a detailed work plan, training needs assessment, training materials, conducted trainings, and a final report submitted within specified timelines.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced degree (Master's or equivalent) in gender/women's studies, human rights, sociology, law, international development, or a related field. Alternatively, a first-level university degree combined with four additional years of relevant experience may be accepted. The position requires at least two years of professional experience in gender equality and women's rights, as well as experience in delivering training on gender issues to various stakeholders. Proven experience in developing training manuals and a sound understanding of interactive learning methods are also essential.

Educational Background:
An advanced degree (Master's or equivalent) in relevant fields such as gender/women's studies, human rights, sociology, law, or international development is required. A first-level university degree may be accepted with additional qualifying experience.

Experience:
At least two years of relevant professional experience in gender equality and women's rights is required for candidates with a Master's degree, or four years for those with a Bachelor's degree. Experience in delivering training on gender issues and developing training materials is also necessary, along with a sound understanding of adult-learning techniques.

Languages:
Fluency in Georgian is mandatory, and proficiency in English is also required. These language skills are essential for effective communication and training delivery.

Additional Notes:
This consultancy is home-based with the possibility of travel to various regions of Georgia for up to 20 days.
