Job Overview:
The Financial Business Analyst (ERP) position is situated within the Department of Financial and Administrative Management (DFAM) at IOM. This role is crucial for overseeing and managing IOM's global financial, budgetary, treasury, accounting, and administrative functions. The Financial Coordination and Policy Division, which the position falls under, is responsible for ensuring compliance with financial regulations and policies while monitoring budgetary and financial risks. The Financial Business Analyst will focus on Oracle reporting, system integration, inter-module reconciliation, and process automation, collaborating closely with various divisions and end users across IOM's global offices. The role requires a proactive approach to drive innovation, maintain data integrity, and ensure that financial systems align with both strategic and operational needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Financial Business Analyst (ERP) include collecting, analyzing, and documenting business requirements related to financial reporting and automation across Oracle ERP modules. The analyst will lead functional design discussions with DFAM stakeholders to assess reporting needs and system improvement opportunities, translating these into functional specifications. They will support the end-to-end lifecycle of Oracle ERP enhancements, monitor and resolve reconciliation issues, conduct functional testing for system updates, and collaborate with ICT and managed service providers. Additionally, the analyst will prioritize change requests based on business impact, work closely with accounting and treasury teams to resolve data integrity issues, promote automation opportunities, assist in developing user documentation, and stay current on Oracle Cloud functionalities.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field from an accredited institution, along with five years of relevant experience. Alternatively, a University degree in the same fields with seven years of relevant professional experience is acceptable. Certification in ERP systems, IT governance, internal controls, or business analysis is advantageous. Candidates should demonstrate a strong ability to translate business needs into system solutions and have experience in international organizations, particularly within the UN system.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field from an accredited academic institution. Candidates with a University degree in these fields must have at least seven years of relevant professional experience. Accreditation of the educational institution is essential, with a preference for those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.

Experience:
The position requires at least five years of experience working in ERP-driven financial environments, preferably with Oracle Cloud. Candidates should have demonstrated experience in translating business needs into system and reporting solutions, involvement in systems testing, user support, and data validation. Experience with AI, RPA, or automation tools in a financial context is a strong asset, along with a proven track record in financial data visualization and reporting.

Languages:
Fluency in English is required for this position, both oral and written. A working knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish) is considered an advantage. The proficiency of required languages will be evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.

Additional Notes:
The contract for this position is a One Year Fixed Term (12 Months). The role is classified at the P-3 grade level, and the recruitment is for a professional position. Internationally recruited professional staff are required to be mobile, and any offer made is subject to funding confirmation. This selection process may be used to staff similar positions in various duty stations, and recommended candidates will remain eligible for appointment in a similar position for 24 months. Candidates who are nationals of the duty station's country cannot be considered eligible for this position.
