Job Overview: The Intern position at IOM in Timor-Leste is designed to support the Chief of Mission in addressing migration-related challenges such as internal displacement, natural disasters, and economic vulnerabilities. The intern will play a vital role in developing and implementing monitoring and evaluation (M&E) frameworks to assess the effectiveness and impact of IOM’s projects. Duties and Responsibilities: The intern will be tasked with several key responsibilities, including:
Developing and implementing comprehensive M&E frameworks to assess project progress and impact, focusing on areas such as displacement and community resilience.
Conducting systematic data collection and analysis to measure intervention outcomes, providing evidence-based insights for decision-making.
Preparing accurate reports for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with IOM standards and donor requirements.
Collaborating with program teams to integrate M&E findings into project planning and implementation.
Providing technical support in designing project indicators and evaluation tools.
Leading capacity-building initiatives by training staff and stakeholders on M&E methodologies.
Organizing and facilitating regular meetings with stakeholders to monitor project progress and address challenges.
Supporting the development and monitoring of detailed project work plans to ensure timely execution of activities.
