Job Overview:
The National Trainers on Men Engagement and Volunteerism Programme position is designed to lead initiatives that promote gender equality and prevent gender-based violence (GBV) through volunteerism. The selected consultants will be responsible for educating young men and boys in sports schools about gender equality and GBV prevention. This role involves recruiting volunteers, conducting training sessions, and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance the visibility and effectiveness of the program. The consultants will also be expected to provide regular reports on their activities and outcomes, ensuring that the program's objectives are met and that the impact is measurable.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the National Trainers include participating in a 5-day Pre-Service Training of Trainers (TOT) to enhance facilitation skills, recruiting 12-15 young volunteers, training these volunteers on gender equality and GBV prevention, organizing sessions for volunteers to conduct in their communities, leading a regular volunteerism program with monthly capacity development sessions, maintaining communication with sports schools and community agencies, participating in UNFPA meetings, conducting focus group discussions for situational analysis, and providing detailed monthly and quarterly reports on training activities and outcomes. The total expected working days for these activities is 82, with specific deliverables outlined for each reporting period.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in teaching, social sciences, or related fields, or a high school diploma with an additional two years of relevant experience. A minimum of two years of experience as a trainer working with youth is required. Candidates should have a strong understanding of cultural and social norms in Turkmenistan, as well as excellent communication skills in Turkmen and Russian. Proficiency in English is considered an asset, enhancing the candidate's ability to engage with diverse groups and resources.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields such as education, social sciences, or a related discipline. Alternatively, candidates with a high school diploma may qualify if they have additional relevant experience in training or community engagement. This educational foundation is crucial for understanding the complexities of gender issues and effectively delivering training to young people.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of two years of experience in training, particularly with young people. This experience should include direct engagement in educational or community programs that focus on gender equality and social norms. Candidates should demonstrate a proven track record of facilitating workshops, leading discussions, and implementing training programs that promote positive social change.

Languages:
Fluency in Turkmen and Russian is mandatory for this position, as these languages are essential for effective communication with the target audience and stakeholders. Additional Notes:
The consultancy is set to run from June 1, 2025, to February 28, 2026, with a total of 82 working days required for the completion of all deliverables.
