Job Overview:
As a Business Intelligence Analyst at ADB, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the organization's data governance and operational efficiency. Your primary responsibility will be to provide technical data analysis and coding support across all areas of the ADB project cycle, which includes programming, portfolio management, and evaluation. You will work closely with various sector offices, the Climate Change and Sustainable Development Department (CCSD), and regional departments to develop and manage business intelligence solutions. Your expertise in data analysis will help transform raw data into actionable insights that support management decisions, thereby contributing to the overall mission of ADB. This position requires a strong understanding of data science techniques and the ability to consolidate and analyze large datasets effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Business Intelligence Analyst include: consolidating, cleaning, and wrangling large datasets using Python libraries such as Pandas and NumPy; analyzing current and historical data related to project processing and implementation; preparing reports and presentations for management; ensuring data integrity by identifying errors and inconsistencies in datasets; providing code-based analysis to uncover trends and insights; supporting the design and management of business intelligence solutions, including dashboards and data visualization tools; automating data pipelines and dashboards using Python scripting and API integration; coordinating with various teams to validate data accuracy; and performing other duties as assigned in the workplan.

Required Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in data science, computer science, engineering, business administration, or a related field. Additionally, a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or as a data specialist using Python is required. Candidates should be familiar with industry best practices and possess excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with a sound understanding of ADB procedures related to project processing and administration, are essential. Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau is necessary, with experience in Jupyter Notebooks and Git being preferred.

Educational Background:
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as data science, computer science, engineering, or business administration. This educational background provides the foundational knowledge necessary for the technical aspects of the role, including data analysis, programming, and business intelligence.

Experience:
The position requires at least 5 years of professional experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related field. This experience should ideally involve the use of Python for data analysis and coding, as well as familiarity with data governance and management practices. Candidates should demonstrate a proven track record of effectively analyzing large datasets and providing actionable insights to support decision-making processes.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, with excellent oral and written communication skills required for effective collaboration and reporting. While English is the primary language of communication at ADB, knowledge of additional languages may be considered an asset but is not mandatory for this position.
