Job Overview:
The Finance Officer, under the supervision of the Field Office Coordinator, is primarily responsible for the daily execution of finance and accounting tasks. This includes recording transactions, monitoring daily payments, verifying supporting documents, preparing necessary financial reconciliations for periodic reporting, and ensuring proper archiving of both physical and electronic documents. The role requires adherence to NRC policies, manuals, and directives, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and supported by appropriate documentation. The Finance Officer will also contribute to bank and cash reconciliations, utilize accounting tools effectively, and maintain an updated electronic payment record. This position is crucial for ensuring financial integrity and compliance within the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Finance Officer's main responsibilities include ensuring adherence to NRC policies and procedures, daily accounting of transactions, rigorous verification of supporting documents, proper archiving of financial records, contributing to bank and cash reconciliations, and utilizing accounting tools effectively. The officer will systematically update the electronic payment records weekly, verify payment documentation against NRC standards, perform periodic financial reconciliations for timely monthly closures, and assist in the monthly closure process by analyzing and cleaning balance sheet accounts. Additionally, the Finance Officer will support project audits by providing timely financial information and contribute to the verification of tax declarations and other financial reports as required.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must have professional experience as an officer in a support function within a humanitarian context, with prior experience in complex and unstable environments. Proven results in the responsibilities of the position are essential. A good knowledge of computer tools, particularly Excel and Word, is required, and proficiency in English is considered an asset. Candidates should also possess a university degree in accounting, management sciences, or economics, with a minimum of two years of experience in a similar role. Knowledge of the Congolese financial system is necessary, along with mastery of Microsoft Excel and Word, and fluency in French, both spoken and written.

Educational Background:
A university degree in accounting, management sciences, or economics is required for this position. This educational background provides the necessary foundation for understanding financial principles and practices essential for the role of Finance Officer.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of two years of experience in a similar role, particularly in a humanitarian context. Languages:
Fluency in French is mandatory, both written and spoken. Proficiency in English is considered an asset, enhancing communication within the organization and with international partners.
