Job Overview:

The internship is expected to last between 2 to 6 months, depending on the needs of the office. Interns will work under the supervision of designated staff and will be involved in various aspects of graphic design, including creating visual content for training materials and online platforms. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about design and eager to contribute to the mission of ECLAC while developing their skills in a professional environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Interns will be responsible for assisting in the design and production of graphic materials for virtual training activities. This includes creating visual content using software such as Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Interns may also be tasked with editing video content using Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro, and utilizing online interactive tools like Canva and Moodle. Additionally, interns will collaborate with team members to ensure that all materials align with the objectives of the training programs and meet the standards set by ECLAC. They may also participate in meetings and contribute ideas for improving the visual presentation of training content.

Required Qualifications:
Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) be enrolled in or have completed the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent), or (b) be enrolled in or have completed a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent or higher). A field of study closely related to graphic design, visual communication, or educational technologies is required. Advanced knowledge of graphic design software and tools is essential, along with a strong understanding of design principles and practices.

Educational Background:
Candidates should be pursuing or have completed a degree in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field. This includes students in their final semester of undergraduate studies or those enrolled in a master’s program. Proof of enrollment or completion of the relevant academic program must be provided with the application.

Experience:
While professional work experience is not required for this internship, candidates should have a strong academic background in a relevant field. Experience with graphic design projects, whether through coursework, personal projects, or internships, will be beneficial. Familiarity with the tools and software mentioned in the qualifications is also important.

Languages:
Fluent Spanish is required for this position, as most of the work will be conducted in this language. Intermediate English is desirable, as it may be necessary for communication with international colleagues and for understanding training materials that may be in English.
