Job Overview: The ECHO Project Manager will lead the implementation of Relief International's ECHO project, which is focused on delivering primary health care and nutrition support to three health facilities in Eastern Chad, along with one Mobile Medical Unit (MMU). This role requires strategic planning and quality implementation of the project, as well as managing relationships with partners and key external stakeholders. Duties and Responsibilities: The ECHO Project Manager will be responsible for a range of duties including:
Accountability and Complexity: Ensuring that project goals are met while adhering to organizational standards and regulations.
Project Oversight and Reporting: Overseeing project implementation and ensuring timely reporting to stakeholders.
Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning: Implementing systems for monitoring project progress and evaluating outcomes to ensure accountability and learning.
Internal and External Coordination: Facilitating communication and collaboration between internal teams and external partners.
People Management: Leading and motivating a diverse team, fostering a positive work environment.
Behavior and Conduct: Upholding the values and behaviors outlined in the organization's Code of Conduct, ensuring ethical practices in all project activities.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess progressive experience in project management, particularly in health projects within emergency or conflict settings. A strong understanding of ECHO regulations and experience with ECHO-funded projects are essential. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate excellent organizational, budget management, communication, and writing skills. Leadership capabilities, including the ability to supervise and motivate staff, are crucial. Experience working with both local and international partners is also required, along with a proven ability to conduct capacity-building activities and share knowledge effectively.
Educational Background: A relevant educational background is necessary for this position, typically including a degree in public health, international development, or a related field. Advanced degrees may be preferred, depending on the specific requirements of the role and the organization.
Experience: Candidates should have substantial experience in project management, ideally with a focus on health-related projects in emergency or conflict environments. This experience should include leadership roles where the candidate has successfully managed teams and projects, demonstrating the ability to adapt to rapidly changing situations and priorities.
Languages: Fluency in French, both oral and written, is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in English is considered a plus, enhancing communication with international partners and stakeholders.
