Job Overview: The position of Praktikant*in in the develoPPP program communication involves being part of a specialized marketing and communication team within the Agency for Economic Cooperation and Development (AWE). The intern will assist in the development, planning, management, and evaluation of external communication measures aimed at positioning develoPPP among companies. This role is crucial for supporting the agency's mission to advise and accompany businesses looking to engage in developing and emerging countries. The intern will also contribute to the creation and marketing of program and project-related content, as well as the maintenance and development of digital channels, particularly the website www.develoPPP.de. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in communication strategies within the context of international development cooperation.
Duties and Responsibilities: The intern will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
Collaborating in the development, planning, management, and evaluation of external communication measures to enhance the visibility of develoPPP among businesses.
Providing content-related and organizational support in the creation and marketing of program and project-related content.
Maintaining and further developing digital channels, especially the develoPPP website.
Supporting collaboration with external service providers to ensure effective communication strategies are implemented.
Required Qualifications: Candidates should possess a degree in communication sciences, public relations, political science, economics, or a related field. A strong affinity for economic and political topics is essential, along with ideally some practical experience on the corporate or association side or in development cooperation. Candidates should demonstrate enthusiasm for professional communication, with prior experience in an editorial office, press office, or communication agency being advantageous. An analytical mindset, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a structured, independent working style with a high quality standard for their work results are required. Teamwork, conflict sensitivity, and resilience are also important attributes for this role.
Educational Background: The ideal candidate should be currently enrolled in a degree program or in a training program that includes an internship as an integral part. Alternatively, candidates who have graduated within the last six months are also eligible to apply. This ensures that the internship is relevant to the candidate's educational background and career development.
Experience: While specific prior experience is not mandatory, candidates with initial practical experience in corporate communication, public relations, or development cooperation will have an advantage. The internship is designed for individuals who are eager to learn and grow within the field of communication in international development.
Languages: Fluency in German is required, along with very good English language skills. Additional foreign languages are considered a plus, enhancing the candidate's profile for this international role.
Additional Notes: The internship is available for a duration from June 2, 2025, to December 1, 2025, and can be offered on a full-time or part-time basis. The monthly intern compensation is €2,205.04 (gross).
