Job Overview:
The position of IT Specialist for SAP S/4 HANA Analytics and Finance is situated within the IT Development Department, specifically in the area of Digital Transformation and IT Solutions (DIGITS). This department plays a crucial role in supporting all central areas of the organization as well as its external structure by conceptualizing, developing, and providing standard software solutions and custom developments. Employees in IT Development work closely with various departments to address their application needs. The solutions developed primarily rely on strategic platforms from SAP and Microsoft. The IT Solutions Finance group is responsible for the IT systems that support both internal and external reporting for GIZ. As part of the transformation project S4GIZ, the SAP module FI and Analytics will be utilized to enhance financial processes and reporting capabilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the IT Specialist include application support, development, implementation, and optimization of SAP FI standard and custom developments. The role also involves the maintenance, further development, and optimization of SAP S/4HANA Finance applications (FI), including customizing. The specialist will monitor relevant interfaces to SAP and non-SAP third-party systems, manage ALE scenarios between the finance and HCM systems, and support general auditing and financial auditing requirements. Performance optimization and troubleshooting within the SAP FI environment are also key responsibilities. Additionally, the specialist will provide consulting and training to internal departments regarding finance and the use of modern S/4HANA functionalities. Collaboration with Analytics WS S4 HANA GIZ and other IT and business teams is essential to ensure a future-oriented data and integration strategy.

Required Qualifications:
The required qualifications for this position include a completed degree in (business) informatics, business administration, or a comparable qualification. Candidates must have experience in development with ABAP and ABAP Objects (ABAP OO), as well as experience in developing CDS Views and OData Services. A solid understanding of SAP FI, BW, and SAC is essential. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical thinking skills, a structured working style, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team. Fluency in both German and English is mandatory.

Educational Background:
Candidates must have a completed degree in (business) informatics, business administration, or a comparable field. This educational background is crucial for understanding the complexities of IT systems and financial processes within the organization.

Experience:
The position requires candidates to have relevant experience in the development of SAP applications, particularly with ABAP and ABAP Objects. Experience in developing CDS Views and OData Services is also necessary. Familiarity with SAP FI, BW, and SAC is expected, along with a proven track record of working in similar roles that involve analytical and structured problem-solving.

Languages:
Fluency in German and English is mandatory for this position. These language skills are essential for effective communication within the organization and with international partners. Knowledge of additional languages may be considered an asset but is not required.

Additional Notes:
This position is suitable for full-time or part-time employment. Since November 1, 2021, the organization has eliminated the option for fixed-term contracts without cause for job placements.
