Job Overview:
The position of Expert to support with technical coordination and reporting is crucial for the successful implementation and management of the Multiannual Indicative Programme for Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA MIP). The expert will be responsible for providing technical services to the DG INTPA unit A.02, focusing on the Technical Assistance Component, which includes evaluations and support measures for regional and multi-country programmes in Sub-Saharan Africa. The role requires a collaborative approach, working alongside a team of key and non-key experts who possess complementary skills and knowledge across various priority areas covered by the SSA MIP. The expert will play a vital role in ensuring high-level service delivery to DG INTPA units, European Union Delegations (EUDs), and other stakeholders involved in the programme.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of the expert include coordinating project activities, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring effective communication among team members. The expert will be tasked with planning and organizing events, taking notes during meetings, and preparing comprehensive reports that reflect the progress and outcomes of the project. Additionally, the expert will be expected to contribute to the evaluation processes and provide insights based on their expertise in Sub-Saharan Africa. The role also involves liaising with various experts and stakeholder groups to facilitate the smooth execution of project objectives and deliverables. The expert must be prepared to travel to Sub-Saharan Africa or other locations as necessary to fulfill the contract's requirements.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a level of education corresponding to at least five years of completed university studies in fields such as Economics, Political Science, Social Science, Development Studies, or a directly related discipline. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, are essential, particularly in English. Experience related to Sub-Saharan Africa is considered an advantage, as is prior experience in project management, which includes coordination, planning, note-taking, and reporting. Familiarity with liaising with experts and stakeholder groups is also important for this role. A working knowledge of French is required for the team of key experts as a whole.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a minimum of five years of university-level education in relevant fields such as Economics, Political Science, Social Science, or Development Studies. This educational foundation is critical for understanding the complexities of international development and the specific challenges faced in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Experience:
Candidates should have at least three years of professional experience in relevant fields. Specific professional experience related to EU development policy is considered an asset, as is experience with database management and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, which is a strong asset for this role. Languages:
