Job Overview:

The Logistics Officer will also provide technical support for market assessments and prepare status reports for management on a regular basis. This role is essential for ensuring that logistics operations run smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of NRC's humanitarian efforts.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Logistics Officer will manage procurement activities at the support office, ensuring compliance with NRC and donor regulations. This includes managing closed tenders, supporting area office teams in local market assessments, and maintaining an up-to-date electronic record of all procurement-related correspondence. The officer will oversee warehouse and stock management, ensuring effective storage and distribution of stock, monitoring project stock levels, and ensuring that minimum standards are enforced. Additionally, the Logistics Officer will assist in maintaining a centralized assets register, ensuring that all office and program assets are logged and tracked. The role also involves managing the fleet in line with NRC standards, ensuring cost-efficient transport services, and coordinating the timely delivery of supplies to projects. Overall, the Logistics Officer will play a key role in ensuring that all logistics processes are carried out effectively and in compliance with organizational standards.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a BA Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management or a related field. A minimum of 3 years of experience working as a logistician in a humanitarian or recovery context is required. Previous experience in complex and volatile environments is essential, along with documented results related to the responsibilities of the position. Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is mandatory for effective communication within the organization and with external stakeholders.

Educational Background:
