Job Overview:
The Communications and Partnerships Analyst plays a crucial role in enhancing the visibility and impact of the MPTF Office's communication initiatives. This position involves developing and disseminating key communication assets, supporting editorial and technical aspects of the MPTF Office Gateway website, and maintaining various communication platforms. The analyst will be responsible for creating engaging content for social media, newsletters, and blogs, as well as providing support for the office's campaigns. This role requires a proactive approach to communication and a strong understanding of the UN's goals and initiatives, particularly in relation to pooled funding and sustainable development.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide editorial and technical back-stopping support for the MPTF Office Gateway, including reviewing and updating corporate communications pages bi-annually, developing fund narratives, and maintaining content on the Gateway.
  • Develop key communication assets for dissemination through priority channels, including social media content for platforms like X and LinkedIn, quarterly newsletters, blog posts, and administrative support for annual reports.
  • Support communication platforms and knowledge management by monitoring the mptfo@undp.org account, maintaining social media content, and enhancing internal knowledge-sharing systems.
  • Assist in the Pooled Fund results campaign by identifying partners, developing assets for dissemination, and enhancing visibility of MPTFO's work. The incumbent may also perform other duties as necessary for the efficient functioning of the office.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in Communication, Public Relations, International Relations, Political Sciences, or relevant Social Sciences. Alternatively, a first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in these areas combined with two years of qualifying experience will be considered. Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages is required, and experience in the UN or development sector, pooled funding mechanisms, and content development for communication products is desired.

Educational Background:
An advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in relevant fields is preferred. A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) is acceptable if accompanied by two years of relevant professional experience. This educational background ensures that candidates have a strong foundation in communication and public relations, which is essential for the role.

Experience:
For candidates with a master’s degree, no prior professional work experience is required. However, those with a bachelor’s degree must have at least two years of relevant professional experience in communications, public relations, advocacy, or a related area. This experience is crucial for understanding the complexities of communication within the UN framework and effectively contributing to the MPTF Office's initiatives.

Languages:
