Job Overview:
The internship-position" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">internship position is part of the ILO's generic internship roster, which is published biannually. Interns will have the opportunity to engage directly with the ILO's work and gain practical experience in their field of study. The internship is designed to enhance understanding of international labor issues and the application of ILO principles, programs, and strategies. Interns will work closely with the IT Unit of the ILO Regional Office for Africa, assisting in user support and monitoring IT assets. This role provides a comprehensive learning experience that combines theoretical knowledge with practical application, allowing interns to develop essential skills in administration" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">system administration, network management, and user support.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Interns will be involved in various tasks, including but not limited to: assisting in the monitoring of the computer system, providing quality IT services to users, and offering user support. Interns will also engage in skills development through system administration, computer network management, and user query management using ITIL. They will apply their knowledge to real-world applications, enhancing their problem-solving skills and critical thinking. Additionally, interns will spend 10% to 20% of their time on administrative tasks, contributing to the overall efficiency of the IT Unit.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must be enrolled in a Master's or Doctorate program or have completed such a program within the past year. Relevant work experience and computer literacy are advantageous. Interns should possess the ability to adapt to an international, multicultural, and multilingual environment, along with good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this internship includes a degree in Computer Science, Computer security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Security, Networks and Computer Systems, or related fields. Candidates must be currently enrolled in a Master's degree program or have completed such a program no longer than one year ago.

Experience:
Relevant work experience in IT or related fields is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate computer literacy and familiarity with IT systems and networks. Experience in user support and problem-solving in a technical environment will be beneficial for this role.

Languages:
A working knowledge of either French or English is mandatory, both oral and written. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset but is not required.

Additional Notes:
This internship opportunity is specifically limited to candidates with disabilities. The duration of the internship is six months, starting on either the 1st or the 15th of a given month. Interns will receive a monthly stipend based on the cost of living in Abidjan, unless they receive funding from another institution. Candidates are responsible for their own insurance coverage during the internship. The ILO does not charge any fees during the recruitment process and does not require bank account details from applicants.
