Job Overview: The Language Teacher position at FAO's Shared Services Centre involves teaching languages such as English, Spanish, French, or Arabic to FAO employees. Duties and Responsibilities: The Language Teacher will have a variety of responsibilities, including:
Teaching group and/or individual language courses tailored to the needs of FAO employees.
Participating in regular teachers' meetings to discuss teaching strategies, share experiences, and address any issues that arise.
Developing and presenting a comprehensive course syllabus for each language course taught, ensuring it meets the educational standards and objectives of the organization.
Timely communication of course materials, including sending syllabi and lesson logs to students after group courses.
Updating and correcting end-of-session tests for each student to evaluate their language proficiency.
Providing detailed progress reports for students at the end of each course, including evaluations that indicate their readiness for the next level or pass/fail status, along with constructive feedback.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a university degree in education, language, or a related field. Additionally, they should have at least five years of relevant experience in teaching the French language within an international context. A working knowledge of English is also required to facilitate communication within the organization and with students.
