Job Overview:
The position involves supporting the Education Outcomes Fund (EOF) in developing and implementing a comprehensive communications strategy. The consultant will work closely with EOF’s Chief of Operations and Director to enhance EOF's visibility and impact on global education. The role encompasses strategic communications, global advocacy campaigns, media relations, brand management, and crisis communication. The consultant will be expected to design and execute campaigns that effectively communicate EOF's mission and impact, manage EOF's presence at high-profile global events, and cultivate relationships with international media to amplify EOF’s initiatives. Additionally, the consultant will produce and manage content across various platforms, ensuring that EOF's work is communicated effectively to diverse audiences.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic advice and expertise on EOF’s communications, including global advocacy campaigns and strategic communications development.
  • Plan and manage EOF's participation in major global events such as the UN General Assembly and G
  • Cultivate relationships with international media to enhance EOF’s visibility.
  • Oversee EOF’s brand management to ensure effective communication of its mission.
  • Produce and manage content, including thought leadership articles, podcasts, and social media posts.
  • Develop proactive crisis communication strategies.
  • Provide technical guidance on the implementation of EOF's communications strategy across various programs.
  • Write and support others in creating content for diverse formats and platforms.
  • Plan and deliver events at high-level international conferences. 1
  • Secure speaking opportunities to raise EOF's profile. 1
  • Deliver training sessions to improve communication skills within the EOF team.

Required Qualifications:
  • An advanced degree (Master’s or above) in political science, economics, finance, business, education, international development, or a related field is required. A Bachelor’s degree will be considered with an additional 2 years of relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field is required.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing communication strategies in complex environments.
  • Experience leading international advocacy campaigns utilizing traditional and digital media.
  • Exceptional writing skills, capable of distilling complex concepts into clear, compelling content for diverse audiences.
  • Fluency in English is required, with additional languages such as French, Arabic, or Spanish being desirable.

Educational Background:
An advanced degree (Master’s or above) in relevant fields such as political science, economics, finance, business, education, or international development is required. A Bachelor’s degree may be acceptable with additional relevant experience.

Experience:
A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field is required. Experience should include leading international communication activities and campaigns, with a strong emphasis on both traditional and digital media.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of additional languages such as French, Arabic, or Spanish is preferred and considered an asset.
