Job Overview: The position of Financial Analyst in the Derivatives & Capital Markets team at IFC is a dynamic role that involves working closely with clients to structure and execute innovative fixed-income investment projects. The successful candidate will be part of the EMEA team, which covers markets in Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and Central Asia. This role requires a finance professional who is not only analytical but also possesses a strong understanding of market dynamics. The analyst will be responsible for providing analytics and market intelligence, contributing to the structuring and execution of transactions, and collaborating with a team of industry experts in a vibrant and dynamic environment. Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Financial Analyst include:
Contributing to the structuring, pricing, and execution of hedging and funding transactions through derivatives and capital markets instruments.
Assisting in the structuring and execution of IFC’s local currency bond issuances by providing analytical and transactional support.
Building, maintaining, and applying sophisticated financial models associated with the structuring and pricing of transactions, ensuring accuracy and reliability in the analysis provided.
Conducting in-depth market research in both local and international fixed income markets, and analyzing rating agency methodologies to inform transaction structuring and risk assessment.
Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including international investment banks, local banks, capital market firms, investors, and regulators, to facilitate successful transaction execution and enhance market presence.
Preparing detailed analytics for investment committees to ensure informed decision-making.
Contributing to documentation review, portfolio monitoring, and valuation as needed.
Participating in global travel as required to support transaction execution and stakeholder engagement.
Required Qualifications: The required qualifications for the Financial Analyst position include:
A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Statistics, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in finance or a related area.
Knowledge of fixed income derivatives, such as cross-currency swaps and interest rate swaps.
Strong data analysis and credit risk modeling skills, along with advanced knowledge of Excel.
The ability to multi-task and pay attention to detail under tight deadlines.
A highly motivated, results-oriented team player with a positive attitude and the ability to collaborate effectively across boundaries.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Flexibility and willingness to work in different time zones as required in a global team.
