Job Overview:
The Principal Banker position within the Debt Mobilisation Product Development (DM PD) division is primarily responsible for coordinating investor relations activities and managing all communications related to mobilisation efforts. This role is crucial in developing innovative strategies to mobilise private debt co-financing alongside the EBRD's operations. The Principal Banker will work closely with team members to enhance communication with existing and potential co-financing partners, ensuring that all outputs align with the Bank's mobilisation mandate and strategic objectives. The position requires a proactive approach to internal and external communications, aiming to foster a culture of mobilisation within the Bank and engage effectively with stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Principal Banker will be responsible for delivering all activities outlined in the Bank's mobilisation communications plan, maintaining and updating this plan in collaboration with the Communications department. Key responsibilities include drafting and scheduling social media posts, identifying opportunities for events and speaker engagements, managing internal communications, and preparing briefing notes for senior management. Additionally, the role involves designing and implementing an investor engagement plan, building relationships with investor groups, and creating educational materials. The Principal Banker will also support new product development initiatives and mentor junior team members, ensuring alignment with the Bank's mobilisation goals.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a relevant university degree, with a Master's degree preferred. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English are essential, along with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders. Prior experience in organizing events and a strong understanding of the development finance agenda, particularly in private capital mobilisation, are highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate sound decision-making skills, business judgement, and high ethical standards. Fluency in another major language is an advantage, as is experience in the countries where the EBRD operates.

Educational Background:
A relevant university degree is required for this position, with a preference for candidates holding a Master's degree or equivalent experience in related fields. The educational background should ideally encompass areas such as finance, economics, or international relations, providing a solid foundation for understanding the complexities of development finance and investor relations.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have substantial experience in the field of development finance, particularly in mobilising private capital. Familiarity with the investor landscape and experience in engaging with various investor groups are crucial. Candidates should also have a proven track record in managing communications and stakeholder engagement, as well as experience in organizing events and educational initiatives. Previous roles in banking or financial institutions, particularly in areas related to co-financing and structured finance, will be beneficial.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory for this position, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Additionally, proficiency in another major language is considered advantageous, as it can enhance engagement with a broader range of stakeholders and investors.
