Interns will assist in various tasks related to sectoral policies, including data collection, analysis, and the development of communication materials. Duties and Responsibilities:
Interns will be expected to perform a range of duties, including but not limited to: assisting in the preparation and servicing of international meetings that facilitate dialogue among sectoral constituents; conducting research and analysis on emerging trends and challenges within industrial sectors; supporting the implementation of international labor standards; preparing communication and advocacy materials to promote decent work; and contributing to capacity-building efforts for governments and organizations. Additionally, interns should anticipate dedicating 10 to 20 percent of their time to administrative tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of the department.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must meet several qualifications to be considered for the internship. They should be enrolled in a Master's or Doctorate program or have completed such a program within the last year. A strong understanding of labor issues, particularly those related to supply chains or the industrial sectors mentioned, is essential. Furthermore, candidates must possess a working knowledge of English, both oral and written, as this is a mandatory requirement. Familiarity with MS Office products is also necessary, and experience in developing databases is considered an advantage.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this internship includes enrollment in or completion of a Master's or Doctorate program. Candidates should have a focus on labor issues, industrial sectors, or related fields. This academic foundation is crucial for understanding the complexities of the work involved and for contributing effectively to the ILO's objectives.

Experience:
Relevant work experience is preferred, particularly in the industrial sectors or supply chains related to textiles, clothing, leather, and footwear. Additional Notes:
The internship is expected to last between 3 to 6 months, with a start date on either the 1st or the 15th of a given month. Interns will receive a stipend of 2450 CHF per month, with additional contributions towards medical insurance. Candidates from non- or under-represented countries may be eligible for financial assistance for travel costs to Geneva. It is important to note that the ILO does not charge any fees during the recruitment process, and candidates are responsible for their own insurance coverage during the internship.
