Job Overview:
The position of Voluntario(a) en Línea involves providing psychotherapeutic support to the Bolivian community through a call center service. Volunteers will work in shifts of 8-10 hours per week, as assigned by their supervisor. They will receive extensive training on care protocols, case management, and electronic scheduling. The role emphasizes support for vulnerable populations, including children, adolescents, and women facing violence. Volunteers will also participate in workshops related to mental health and violence prevention, enhancing their skills and knowledge in these areas. The assignment lasts for three months, with the possibility of extension for an additional three months.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide psychotherapeutic support to callers through a call center service.
  • Attend shifts as scheduled, ensuring availability for the assigned hours.
  • Participate in training sessions to understand care protocols and case management.
  • Manage and organize the electronic agenda for appointments.
  • Offer support to a diverse range of individuals, prioritizing vulnerable groups.
  • Engage in workshops and training offered by UNICEF Bolivia to enhance skills in mental health and violence prevention.
  • Collaborate with coordinators for supervision and guidance throughout the volunteering period.
  • Maintain a professional and supportive demeanor while assisting callers.

Required Qualifications:
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Empathy and understanding towards individuals in distress.

  • Proficiency in using computers and managing electronic schedules.
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing training and workshops.

Educational Background:
A background in psychology, social work, or a related field is preferred. Candidates should have a foundational understanding of mental health principles and practices. Relevant certifications or training in counseling or psychotherapy would be advantageous.

Experience:
Previous experience in a counseling or support role is beneficial but not mandatory. Experience working with vulnerable populations, particularly in mental health settings, is highly valued. Volunteers should be comfortable handling sensitive situations and providing emotional support.

Languages:
Fluency in Spanish is mandatory, as the service is provided to the Bolivian community. Knowledge of indigenous languages such as Aymara or Quechua is a plus, as it can enhance communication with diverse populations.
