The organization is committed to achieving universal access to sexual and reproductive health, promoting gender equality, and empowering women and girls. UNFPA's strategic plan for 2022-2025 emphasizes the importance of addressing the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic on women's health and rights, and it aims to end preventable maternal deaths, unmet needs for family planning, and gender-based violence. UNFPA employs a diverse workforce and values integrity, transparency, and accountability in its operations.
Job Overview: The SRH Program Analyst position is crucial for the effective implementation of UNFPA's activities in sexual and reproductive health and emergency obstetric care within the Atbara state office. The analyst will provide technical assistance, develop work plans, and foster collaborative relationships with government entities, implementing partners, and civil society organizations. This role is integral to addressing emerging issues in sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and influencing stakeholders to achieve UNFPA's strategic goals. The analyst will work closely with various program units to ensure the successful execution of the UNFPA work plan, focusing on reproductive and maternal health programs and joint initiatives aligned with national development frameworks.
Duties and Responsibilities: The SRH Program Analyst will be responsible for providing quality technical support to UNFPA's implementing partners in project planning, implementation, and monitoring of program activities. The analyst will design, plan, implement, and monitor initiatives related to rights-based quality SRH service delivery, including adolescent and youth SRH, family planning, and management of sexual and gender-based violence. Reporting on project progress, implementing effective knowledge management strategies, and supporting national capacity development in SRH are also essential duties.
