Job Overview: The Knowledge Management Consultant will play a crucial role in supporting UNFPA's adolescent and youth programs by gathering, categorizing, and developing a user-friendly microsite for knowledge products. This position requires a deep understanding of the Noura Framework and youth empowerment initiatives, as well as the ability to effectively organize and present information. The consultant will be responsible for ensuring that all knowledge materials related to the programs are accessible and well-structured, facilitating the dissemination of information to stakeholders and the public. The role involves collaboration with various teams and stakeholders to ensure that the microsite meets the needs of its users and aligns with UNFPA's mission and objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Gather all available knowledge materials related to the adolescent and youth programs, ensuring comprehensive coverage of all relevant topics.
Categorize the gathered materials into relevant sections for easy navigation and access.
Develop a microsite that is user-friendly, visually appealing, and accessible to a wide audience.
Populate the microsite with the categorized knowledge products, ensuring that all content is accurate and up-to-date.
Collaborate with UNFPA teams to ensure that the microsite aligns with organizational standards and objectives.
Conduct user testing to gather feedback on the microsite's functionality and make necessary adjustments.
Provide training and support to staff on how to use and maintain the microsite effectively.
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience in knowledge management, information organization, or related fields.
Strong understanding of adolescent and youth issues, particularly in the context of sexual and reproductive health.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in web development and design, with experience in creating user-friendly microsites.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present information clearly and effectively.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as public health, social sciences, information management, or a related discipline is required. A master's degree is preferred and may be an advantage in the selection process.
Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in knowledge management, information organization, or related fields is required. Experience working with international organizations, particularly in the context of sexual and reproductive health, is highly desirable.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory. Proficiency in Arabic is highly desirable, as it will facilitate communication with local stakeholders and enhance the accessibility of the microsite for the target audience.
Additional Notes: This position may involve a contract duration that is project-based, with potential for extension based on performance and funding availability. The role is expected to be full-time, and the consultant may be required to work both independently and collaboratively with UNFPA teams. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications, and additional benefits may be provided as per UNFPA policies.
