Job Overview: The Consortium Finance Adviser will play a crucial role in the financial management of consortia and ensure compliance with donor regulations and NRC standards. This position involves supporting program and project implementation across various partners within the consortia framework. Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage financial operations for all consortia and ensure compliance with donor regulations.
Coordinate between consortia members and technical reference groups to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
Conduct financial analysis and prepare comprehensive financial reports for stakeholders.
Review and consolidate consortia budgets to ensure alignment with project objectives.
Perform financial due diligence to assess the financial health of consortia partners.
Coordinate and prepare for internal and external audits, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up to date.
Prepare financial forecasts to guide budgeting and resource allocation.
Strengthen the financial capacity of consortia partners through training and support.
Facilitate fund transfers to ensure timely disbursement of resources to partners. 1

Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a university degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. They should have substantial experience in financial management within humanitarian, recovery, or development contexts, particularly in consortia or partnerships. A strong understanding of donor financial reporting requirements and exposure to finance and procurement processes is essential. Familiarity with the context of Bangladesh, particularly regarding the Rohingya refugee camps and the associated humanitarian needs, is highly desirable. Candidates should also demonstrate excellent negotiation and communication skills, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse environment.
Educational Background: A university degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field is required for this position. Advanced degrees or certifications in finance or accounting will be considered an asset, as they demonstrate a higher level of expertise and commitment to the field.
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in financial management, particularly in a humanitarian or development context. Experience working with consortia or partnerships is highly valued, as is familiarity with donor compliance and reporting processes. Previous experience in financial capacity building and training for partners is also advantageous.
Languages: Fluency in English, both written and verbal, is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of Bengali or Rohingya languages would be considered a strong asset, as it would facilitate communication with local partners and communities.
Additional Notes: This position is based in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh, and is offered on a 12-month contract basis. The role may require approximately 25% travel within the region.
