Job Overview:
The Técnico de Emprendimiento position is designed to support the development and implementation of entrepreneurial initiatives within Asturias. The role involves working closely with startups and small businesses to provide them with the necessary tools and resources to succeed. This includes conducting workshops, offering one-on-one mentoring, and facilitating access to funding opportunities. The ideal candidate will be expected to engage with the local business community, understand their needs, and tailor support programs accordingly. Additionally, the position requires collaboration with other departments and organizations to promote a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in the region. The candidate will also be responsible for tracking the progress of supported businesses and reporting on outcomes to ensure accountability and continuous improvement of the programs offered.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement entrepreneurship support programs tailored to the needs of local businesses and startups.
  • Conduct workshops and training sessions on various aspects of entrepreneurship, including business planning, marketing, and financial management.
  • Provide one-on-one mentoring to entrepreneurs, helping them navigate challenges and develop their business strategies.
  • Collaborate with local stakeholders, including government agencies, educational institutions, and private sector partners, to foster a supportive ecosystem for entrepreneurship.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of entrepreneurship programs, making recommendations for improvements based on feedback and outcomes.
  • Assist entrepreneurs in accessing funding opportunities, including grants, loans, and investment.
  • Promote the organization’s services and initiatives through outreach activities and networking events.
  • Stay informed about trends in entrepreneurship and innovation to ensure programs remain relevant and effective.

Required Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of entrepreneurship, business development, and innovation processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently manage projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on results and outcomes.
  • Proficiency in using digital tools and platforms for business development and communication.
  • Knowledge of the local business landscape and economic development initiatives in Asturias is a plus.

Educational Background:
A bachelor’s degree in business administration, entrepreneurship, economics, or a related field is required. A master’s degree or additional certifications in entrepreneurship or business development would be advantageous and may enhance the candidate's qualifications for the role.

Experience:
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in entrepreneurship support, business development, or a related field is required. Experience working with startups or small businesses, particularly in a mentoring or advisory capacity, is highly desirable. Familiarity with the local economic environment and previous involvement in community development initiatives will be considered an asset.

Languages:
Fluency in Spanish is mandatory, as the role involves direct interaction with local entrepreneurs. Proficiency in English is also desirable, as it may be necessary for engaging with international partners and resources. Knowledge of additional languages would be considered a plus, enhancing communication with a broader range of stakeholders.
