Job Overview:
The position of Directora de Relaciones Institucionales is crucial for enhancing the organization's visibility and influence in institutional relations. The role involves developing and implementing strategies to engage with key stakeholders, including government agencies, non-governmental organizations, and international bodies. The successful candidate will be expected to represent the organization at high-level meetings, conferences, and public forums, advocating for its mission and objectives. This position requires a deep understanding of international relations and the ability to navigate complex political landscapes. The Director will also oversee a team responsible for managing partnerships and collaborations, ensuring alignment with the organization's goals and values. The role demands strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies for institutional engagement and partnership building.
  • Represent the organization at international conferences, meetings, and events.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, NGOs, and international organizations.
  • Lead a team in managing institutional partnerships and collaborations.
  • Monitor and analyze political developments that may impact the organization's work.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior management and the board.
  • Advocate for the organization's mission and objectives in various forums.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure cohesive messaging and strategy.

Required Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in institutional relations, public affairs, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of international relations and global governance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Experience in managing teams and projects effectively.
  • Proficiency in negotiation and advocacy.

Educational Background:
A Master's degree in International Relations, Political Science, Public Administration, or a related field is required. Additional certifications in diplomacy or public affairs are a plus. Candidates with a strong academic background and relevant coursework will be preferred.

Experience:
A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in institutional relations, public policy, or a similar role is required. Experience working in international organizations or NGOs is highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate a track record of successful stakeholder engagement and partnership development.

Languages:
Fluency in Spanish and English is mandatory. Proficiency in additional languages such as French or Arabic is considered an asset and will enhance the candidate's profile.
